Course Information

Introduction

Strong corporate governance depends on an effective audit function that provides independent assurance over risk management, internal controls, and organisational performance. Whether conducted by internal auditors or management teams, well-planned audits help organisations identify weaknesses, improve compliance, strengthen accountability, and support informed decision-making by senior management and boards.
This five-day course provides a practical introduction to audit within a corporate governance framework. Participants will learn how to plan and perform risk-based audits, evaluate internal controls, collect and document audit evidence, and prepare professional audit reports. Through case studies, practical exercises, and real-world scenarios, participants will develop the skills needed to improve audit quality, strengthen governance, and support continuous organisational improvement.
